Charlotte and Aaron of Laurencekirk, Aberdeenshire, got married in January at Duthie Park Winter Gardens, Aberdeen and held their stunning reception at Cafe Musa. An intimate, informal wedding for a lovely couple. The best combination!
The Getting Ready
Charlotte stayed at BlueTree Apartments, Aberdeen on the night before the wedding. The large windows in the sitting room were perfect for getting ready, with her mum, sister, daughter and niece.
Being invited to photograph a bride getting ready is a huge honour and one of my favourite parts of a wedding. This room was charged with emotion and nervous excitement. Just... fantastic.
Being a Scottish couple getting married in January, Charlotte and Aaron didn't take any chances with the weather and held their ceremony at Duthie Park Winter Gardens, Aberdeen. However, the rain clouds of that morning disappeared quickly and we were treated to beautiful sunshine all afternoon. We even managed to get outside to the bandstand without Charlotte's Irregular Choice shoes getting too muddy.
Aberdeen's Musa was the atmospheric destination for an intimate reception. One of the many perks of holding your reception in a restaurant is the Most Amazing Wedding Food Ever!
Guests were entertained by Gareth Thomson. Just one man and his guitar kept the dance floor full all night. Amazing! The first dance was Shine by Ash. Aaron proposed to Charlotte while this song was playing when they were at a gig by the band. How romantic.
Congratulations, Charlotte and Aaron on your wedding.
